Brianna Beaver

Certified Yoga Teacher

As a young woman who just enlisted in the Air Force, away from family, and stationed at her first duty station, I was in dire need of community and connection. So, in 2016, I decided to try something new and attended my first yoga class, hoping to connect with new people. After taking a few classes, I learned how to connect with the elements of myself.

After separating from the Air Force, I began experiencing the challenges that came with closing one chapter and beginning another. I found myself returning to my mat more and more, which deepened my practice and desire to learn more about yoga.

In 2023, I earned my Yoga Teacher Certification at Kashi Atlanta Urban Yoga Ashram where I learned more about the philosophies and practice of yoga, as well as how to be consciously inclusive so that anyone from any community knows they are welcomed when practicing yoga.

I have also earned my certification in Trauma-Informed Yoga in 2025, which I am passionate about as someone who is currently continuing my education in psychology. When I'm not on the mat here at Southern Lotus Yoga, I teach free classes across Metro Atlanta—including vinyasa, hatha, trauma-informed, and reiki-infused yoga—at Healing Hands Reiki & Spiritual Development, Inc. Over the past 10 years, yoga has been a consistent practice in my life.

Not only have I turned to yoga to help alleviate any discomfort in my body, but it has also strengthened my mindfulness and steadied the connection between my mind, body, and soul. Knowing how much yoga has helped me through the seasons of my life, I am intentional about creating a space where others can find comfort in their practice and reconnect with themselves.
